Hot on the heels of his recent groundbreaking Fabric 64 compilation, Supplement Facts bossman Guy Gerber is now ready to get "Steady" with a brand new EP and worldwide tour.

Acclaimed photographer Martin Zalba Ibáñez has been tapped to provide a new series of B&W photos for the iconic Supplement Facts covers. The first one can be seen on Gerber's first release on his own Supplement Facts label in almost two years, which sees him pairing with dOP frontman Jaw for 'Steady,' a melodic track filled with soaring synth lines, Guy's emotional bass guitar chords, and Jaw's incredibly performance featuring his trademark eerie, distorted vocals.

Rounding out the release is a beefed up Midland remix of Steady - perfect for peak time dance floor destroying. The vinyl B- side is a re-edit of the Golden Sun & the Silver Moon, a dreamy standout track off of the Fabric compilation (and Guy's alternate name for the Fabric mix itself) featuring vocals by Clarion North of Footprintz (look for their upcoming album on Visionquest soon).

After Huerco S's lo-fi house and a classic cut from Parris Mitchell, we are happy to present our third physical release. That Girl, produced by our recent discovery Innershades, and halved with two remixes of our most recent idols. While the EP received massive dj support, it may sound so familiar for another reason: again, it further explores the territories of modern house music while paying obvious homage to the past. 

At a first glance, you might mistake That Girl for some unfinished business. Opening with a repeated voice sample, rare toms and a nostalgic pad, this epic beatless intro builds up like a 1980's spaghetti western soundtrack just to drop one minute later into one of the rawest hard hitting house tracks you'll see around in a while. But don't be too quick to make judgments: the abundance of sonic elements in this tune sounds very refreshing in the era of looped house and techno — and those ruthless ravey keys add up oh so well to the picture.

Further down the road, Hotflush Recording's favorite Locked Groove gives the original a pulsing acidic twist halved with his signature top-class house production skills. This unobvious deviation from the trancey samples you would hear on his latest releases is, though, very welcome: a slightly misogynistically titled "She's A Hoe" remix just sticks in your head for a while.

As if that isn't enough, the B-side is represented by a simple-yet-effective remix from Ukraine's very own Vakula who provides what seems a purist power techno edit right up to the point when the killer snare comes in. What follows is a little flanger play on one of the original's secondary melodies which emphasizes it, thus changing the perception of the cut almost completely. Strictly for club use only.

Innershades - That Girl EP w/ Locked Groove & Vakula remixes (12")

Bloop Recordings has become one of Europe’s most exciting electronic labels in its short 2 year history. With music from the likes of Anonym, Einzelkind, Bearweasel, Lauhaus, Seuil, Agnes etc, the label have built a formidable reputation for forward thinking A&R decisions, snapping up tracks and mixes from tomorrow’s hot property.

For their thirteenth single release the label turn to the duo of DJ W!ld and Mr. K to deliver the awesome ‘Not Now, I’m Dancing’. Best known for his Catwash label and releases for the likes of Robsoul & Motivbank, DJ W!ld AKA Guillaume Duchastel takes the opportunity here to showcase his production talent and unique take on the sounds of house ably assisted by Mr K AKA Kova Rea.

The single opens with the original version of ‘Not Now, I’m dancing’, a stripped and jerky slice of hypnotic tech house with the timeless sounding vocals of Mr K intoning the virtues of losing oneself in sound. This is a great recording that seems to marry an almost US inspired old school atmosphere with cutting edge European production qualities.

Next up we have ‘Heart in Hell’ a bass driven slab of heads down house with broken percussion and subtle layered tribal vocal snippets, simple but devastatingly effective.

First of the 2 ‘Not Now, I’m Dancing’ remixes comes from the pairing of Remote Area artists Julien Chaptal and Kabale und Liebe who turn their talents to creating a deep and jackin’ reworking that is pure class from the off. With its chopped and filtered vocals and rich melodic elements this has a truly classic sound to it and will no doubt be one of this season’s big records.

Finally we have Anonym who delivers his ‘Discodancing remix’, an instantly engaging version with its filtered loops and spacious arrangement and one that is already receiving intense early DJ support.
Bloop have done it again, releasing another rock solid single packed with quality music and highly respected producers.

DJ W!ld and Mr K’s ‘Not Now, I’m Dancing’ is released on Bloop at the end of October 2009.
