you have a fundamental misunderstand of how mp3 works mp3 is technically a 16 bit format but its inaccurate to call it that because it doesnt store discrete samples mp3 has a variable dynamic range and applies a softclipping limiter before encoding so any clipping is "safely" removed that why exporting as mp3 often doesnt have clipping clicks when wav does im sorry but when mp3 is mentioned i go full nerd mode
