Hailing from Argentina via Montreal, his productions combine South American percussive energy with industrial noise and techno - with solid releases on @agvarecords and @nodolabel so far and his prolific multiple self-releases on Soundcloud and Bandcamp

His mix is no less relentless - drawing on baile funk, tarraxo, cumbia and reggaeton - and never drops below 160bpm in the 50+ tracks that he managed to squeeze in the hour. Originally planned as a series of in-store-style events just as the first waves of lockdown hit, Club Rooted launches as a new podcast series dedicated to non-floor focussed club music. Riding the line between warm-ups, messy after-party sets and the golden era of dubstep, when the dance makes way for something else.

The mix series follows a new wave of labels and artists pushing a non-floor focused sound + tapping into a lineage that can be traced back through various scenes, from recent slow or
kickless techno, abstract UK bass music, to autonomic DnB, knackered house, Detroit Beatdown, & various strands of electronica or IDM.

Club music for listening may be a contradiction in terms, but it’s certainly club rooted.
