SUCIA! and DJ Manny present FML Mixtape Vol 1, a collection highlighting their community of fellow music lovers from all walks of life. Based around their party series of the same name, this compilation features everything from footwork to r&b, techno, rap and even a punk song. Its purpose is to display the wide range of talent within their peers, and showcase the current sounds of dance music from NYC to the rest of the world.



Featured here among the mixtape’s 22 tracks are Teklife representative Mel G (Low Key Recs), Bronx-based dark tunnel techno specialist Total XTC (Body Journey), Rare Frequency Transmissions' co-founder Dynoman, Anito Soul representing Planet Queer nyc's collective, and jazz chord virtuoso Tomu DJ (Girl House). Rather than run with a rigid genre or small circle scene focus, the curation of this compilation was a natural process of selecting friends with similar mindsets. The alt kids who listen to R&B, the ravers that love hip-hop, the punk bands that write songs about sex workers, good music knows no bounds and that is what is presented here.



For Music Lovers is about community, diversity & representation. It’s about worldwide celebration of the black and queer dance music and those that hold respect for its roots.

All funds made from this project will go direct back to the artists involved.
