"Rules In This Town" is the opening track of Bludgers album Better Off At Home (1996). Prior to the album’s release, Hammerhead Records brought in Eric ‘Roscoe’ Ambel to remix the track. This version is the previously unreleased original mix by the famed Mark Rubel of Pogo Studios where the track was recorded. With both versions to compare 26 years after the fact, we’re hearing harmonies and other little moments we’d forgotten we even recorded. The album version of "Rules In This Town" is on Spotify, Bandcamp, Apple Music, and wherever you buy and listen to your music.

This is a recording, circa 1981-1983, of the fabulous Barry Jenkin's radio show as it used to be broadcast on the  ZM network. It was the first show(from memory), to go nationwide across all 3 of the ZM frequencies. 1ZM in Auckland, 2ZM in Wellington, and 3ZM in Christchurch. Sometimes hosted by Bryan Staff, the show was a revelation to those of us craving something different. This was originally recorded to a TDK Metal cassette and was ripped to Garageband. It was ripped sans Dolby NR and I bumped up the DB levels a wee smidgeon. I might try some further tweaking, as time allows, and repost the rip.
