 “John is an old high school buddy of mine. The way we grew up, as upper middle class private school kids in Houston, there was a certain path laid out for us. I hold nothing against taking that path at all, but for John and I, it just wasn’t for us. John became a commercial salmon fisherman in Alaska (and an artist), I became a musician. Because of that, we’ve always been kindred spirits - “seekers, searchers, and drifters” so to speak. This tune is John’s story from my perspective but it’s written for anyone that has those same forces working within them.”- Tony Kamel
