I started working on this track around 2018, so it's OLD. Like, the breaks sound shitty because I'm using the ones I ripped from audiotool old. Like, that wizzy metallic synth is the earliest recorded instance of me fucking with synth1 old. I've been picking it up and putting it down over the past 3 years, eventually getting around to mixing it and trying some multitrack mastering a few months ago, but at NO POINT, over this whole process did I EVER come up with a decent name for it! So fuck it! It's the original Fuck Titles!

Well, I feel like I'm just acknowledging something that's been going on de facto for at least the past year, but yeah, this is an OFFICIAL announcement of my hiatus from Blind Hyena. I'm OFFICIALLY on hiatus. It's DE JURE now. Don't expect anything from me any time soon because I don't even know what to expect from me at this point. 

I feel like I've reached my current potential for this project and and 'core music generally. I don't know how clear it is, from a listener's perspective, but I take my own "originality" very seriously. (perhaps more seriously than I should) I don't like to repeat things that I've heard elsewhere, at least not verbatim, or even things I've done before. Unfortunately, refusing to re-use ideas seems to have lead me to a situation where I've just run out of them, or, more precisely, I am unable to feel satisfied with the ideas I do have, either because they feel too derivative or I lack the skill/knowledge(/plugins) to do them properly.  You'd think all this would mean I'm tired of the genre, but, the strange thing is, I don't think am? I mean, I'm tired of not having any ideas and of feeling unsatisfied with everything I try to do, but I still love this music and I can still enjoy making it on the few occasions when I do know what I'm doing. So I'm going to use this hiatus to focus on other projects and give myself the space to learn some new things without the pressure of making fit into a particular stylistic format. (maybe I'll even learn to enjoy being more derivative?)

I may still upload a few compilation submissions or something from time to time, if anything ever gets finished, but these will not mean the hiatus is over unless I add a new announcement in one of their descriptions saying so.

And I'm going to start making tracks every 10 days
Over the past year I have finished 5 tracks. 4 of those tracks were only finished because they had deadlines. If deadlines are what will get the songs done than where's the harm in having more?
So yeah, I'm gonna try to start and finish a track (the same track) every 10 to 15 days for the next... whenever I decide to stop. I've been working on an EP since January, but the momentum for it has been sporadic and sparse. I'm not giving up on it, but I want to take my main focus off of it to get over some bad habits of mine that I think are contributing to it's delay.
A lot of these tracks won't be speedcore/breakcore/noise/industrial or anything you've come to expect from Blind Hyena or Lois Cook. These tracks will be posted in videos on my Youtube channel. Some of them will probably show up again in future releases. Some might even be compiled and turned into releases during this project. I'm trying not to limit myself with this.
The mixing is probably going to be fast and loose like with this track here, but I'll remix any tracks I decide to release officially so don't get too attached to the versions you'll hear in these coming months. (cause I'll erase them for soundcloud minutes)
