BLUE VELVET was a retro martini lounge act in San Diego that mainly played at BOURBON STREET in San Diego California.The very popular trio featured Andrea Mardon (singer) Deborah Sapp Stokes (singer) & Kevin Cavanaugh (arranger , keyboards & singer). In 2006 - an updated version of the trio with Deborah, Fran Harsthorn and Cavanaugh were featured on the premiere of NBC's "America's Got Talent" after the group got a call from the producer, Simon Cowell - himself to be featured as the first act "X'D Off " of this popular television show. Cavanaugh, Stokes and Mardon still perform occasionally in southern California when not opening for Fleetwood mac.
