This entire piece was created on the spot, live, on March 18th at a performance at Candela's On The Bay.  Blue44 had guest artist Russell Bizzett on drums that night.  Interesting stuff happened.  The piece takes some time to build.  Please forgive, or enjoy the background noise of the club.

Blue44 was a genre-bending improvisational ensemble whose music was rooted in jazz. Reflecting today's rapidly changing and unpredictable cultural and musical landscape, Blue44 mixed in elements such as spoken word, latin, world-beat and funk to create a fresh groove based sound. Ambient grooves, sometimes called Acid Jazz or Nu Jazz, with simple harmonic structures provide a deconstructed musical foundation on which musical journeys are embarked in an unpredictable, improvisational format.   Founding members were Larry Davis and Adam Wolff.  The band played around San Diego between 2002 and 2016
