Blue Coat Venture emerged in the spring of 2014, when the singer/songwriter Gustav Löfstrand wandered around Stockholm wearing his dad's old blue coat. Together with a friend he built studio Lärkskogen in Stockholm and inspired by sounds of the city, he began recording his own songs. 

The debut album Island of Violets will be released in April 2015 on the independent record label Pomelo Music.
