I'd been reading Bob Dylan's 'Chronicles - Volume One' when I wrote this. I think Bob crept into the song - 'you go your way I'll go mine'. I had the microphone really close to the acoustic guitar when recording this, which produced the unintentional but interesting percussive sound of the plectrum on the strings.

My EP SUPERNOVA contains two Japanese songs, and this is one of them. I have never released a song in Japanese before, but I took the plunge and decided to release these. It's a song recorded in one take with my acoustic guitar and vocal. The tempo is middle tempo (I didn't use the metronome function so I don't know the BPM). 3m58s. The main genre is Folk. Can't Get Bayou (But I Can't Get By Without You Either)

My earliest musical memories are of a small home on Williams Street, where my family moved when I was three. After dinner, my father would play hymns on his Conn organ, and I would sing along. That simple, shared ritual was my first introduction to music.

Our time at the organ came to an end a couple of years later when we moved, and my father's schedule became busier with teaching, pastoring, and graduate studies. I soon moved on to singing along to albums of musicals, and eventually, my mother became my first piano teacher. But I'll always remember that it was my father who first gave me a love for music. This piece is in his memory of him.
