From time to time, i´d choose a track i like and tallatize it. Sometimes its a slower progressive tune, other times something completely different. When i heard "Alan Walkers - Faded" i was enchanted by the atmosphere and the vocals. I thought this track should be also danceable for the uplfting crowd and after tallatizing from 90 to 136 bpm it became such a nice rework, that armin van buuren picked it up, played it at asot 755, asot 750 miami, asot 756, asot 757 and called me "the master of reworks" ...awesome, right ;-)

This is a mix that I wanted to do for a loooong time. At the age of thirteen I fell in love with hardtrance and that never went away. Glad I managed to put in 20 awesome classics in just under 90 minutes.

I took a lot of inspiration from albums like Bitte Ein Beat! Those discs where always in my stereo, especially Vol. 1 to 6.

Talla is one of Trance’s founding fathers, his contribution to the scene as we know it cannot be overstated. What sets him apart from most of the other producers from his generation though is that his release schedule is prolific & enduring to this day, with consistently brilliant productions which are right on point and up there with whoever the current ‘flavour of the month’ happens to be. This is a guy who understands the very nature of pure trance music. Severance is a collaboration with fellow German Illitheas, it’s a beautifully melodic & uplifting peak-time helping of pure trance music boasting crystal clear, clean production, haunting emotive pads & of course that all-important rousing pluck which emerges from the breakdown like a phoenix from the flame.
