Deon Jamar’s Detroit local who grew up with decks in the lounge, his dad was a DJ so music’s always been part of the deal. After digging into Detroit’s underground scene, he started doing his own thing, throwing parties like “Healin Sessions” and running the black music exhibition. 
Now he’s dropped his first solo album “Altars” on his own label and this mix gives you a taste of that journey.

“I recently found this mix of weird R&B dubs while pillaging old laptops for music and I haven’t turned it off since. If you've ever dug through old drives for anything you know how mundane and unrewarding it can be. It's like a road trip that never ends. However, when you come across a file labeled  "Actavis and Activator" you pull the car over and see what's going on. I couldn’t tell you when or why I made it but I’m glad I did. Feel good vibes for feel bad times. Hope you like it.”
