As a young kid growing up on a Raspberry farm, I used to stack the 33 rpm record player with "Cosby Stills, Nash & Young, Bob Dylan, America and the likes. For some reason I was fascinated by how they structured and produced their songs/albums. I think I started writing and playing guitar at 15.
At 17, I found myself in a car accident, where I was trapped in a car as it filled with water. Long story short...after holding my breath under water for about 45 seconds, and slowly letting out my last breath, (knowing I was about to die), I prayed to my God and said "If you let me live, I will change the world with my music, just like Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young".... (Yes, I said just it just like that... I was serious... I bet my life on it. Lol)
Anyways at that precise moment, the idea of looking for an "air-pocket" popped into my head. I found one just big enough that half my face fit inside it! As luck, (or God ) would have it, I just happened to own the first small car, that manufacturers installed back windows that rolled down. It was through that little window, that my conviction swam through... 

It didn’t take too long to realize how unrealistic my promise was, but I did continue to write. I started recording on a 4 track cassette, then a digital 12 track, and now a computer D.A.W. Back then, if I wanted to record a Symphony part, I had to learn it on my Cello, viola and violin... which led to much editing, revising.  Lol. Seems like my whole life has been constant revision, perhaps that's just growth. 
I’ve noticed over the years that Music is like religion to me, sometimes I stray from it, but eventually we always have to reconnect, it's who I am. As a young man I thought I could change the world...now that I am an "Old Fart", I hope that I can "grease the skids for a few moments" and perhaps help someone through a difficult time, or even change their world a tiny bit, for the better. 
As far as I can remember, I have always believed that we are in this together. What we do to each other and to this planet we call home, we do to ourselves... As we continue to "Trip Around the Sun", I will continue to use Folk music (mixed with just about anything else that stirs the soul,) to share my message of togetherness.
