This composition was considerably harder than I thought it would be. It's a less complex composition but that just brings out the beauty of the solo instrument performances. And you have to get that part right across all the articulations used. Also this composition pays up homage to John Williams iconic Star Wars motifs through brass. All of these details force you to get to know your samples well in order to use them properly. Here is my attempt.

I've been planning on doing this for awhile. Now that it's been awhile, I present you my mock up of The Avengers theme. Who knows if Silvestri makes something similar?

And so, we say farewell to a mighty fine Doctor...Peter Capaldi, you were undoubtedly a good man.

(The 12th Doctor pulls a lever to the TARDIS and takes off, turning to the scanner)

Doctor: Oh, there it is. The silly old universe. The more I save it, the more it needs saving...it's a treadmill!

(The TARDIS bleeps)

Doctor: Yes, yes, I know. They'll get it all wrong without me. Well, I suppose...one more lifetime wouldn't kill anyone. Well, except me.

(The TARDIS cloister bell goes)

Doctor: (begins climbing up the stairs) You wait a moment, Doctor. Let's get it right. I've got a few things to say to you.

Basic stuff first. Never be cruel, never be cowardly...and never ever eat pears! Remember, hate is always foolish, and love is always wise. (walks down the stairs again a little wobbly) Always try to be nice...but never fail to be kind. (walks over to the doors then turns around)

Doctor: Oh! And you mustn't tell anyone your name. No one, would understand it anyway. Except...except children.
