Rhodes Beat

This song was made by one of my students at Corliss (he made the music and his brother sings). Everything was made with the headphone mic for some android phone, a 50 dollar midi keyboard, and garageband.  

I met him in his AP Lit class when I was going around introducing myself and telling kids about college. I told the class my path to becoming a college adviser, including some time in the music industry. He showed up at my office the next day and we talked about music a ton. He said he was going to bring me in a song he recorded with his brother. He accidentally gave me the whole project file, so I just loaded it up with Logic Pro and was blown away by how good it was for what they recorded it on. I told him the next day I could mix it for him. 

I kept bringing him in mix after mix and he always was telling me things that needed to be fixed or suggestions for stuff I mixed. After having tons of conversations about this song, music, and just himself, I've got to realize how creative, intelligent, and talented he is. Listen and see for yourself.

In the so-called civilized nations you are induced to work together through the concept of `my country', or for an ideology which has been very carefully worked out and widely propagated so that you accept it; or you work together to carry out a plan which somebody has drawn up, a blueprint for Utopia.
So, it is the plan, the idea, the authority which induces people to work together. This is generally called co-operation, and in it there is always the implication of reward or punishment, which means that behind such `co-operation' there is fear.
