Within the Polykube, foundational rhythmic patterns intertwine with spatially diverse auditory systems to create complex multi-dimensional dancefloor subroutines. In turn, these subroutines generate a myriad of signals and sequences in which modulations of pitch, tempo, and dynamics interact to spawn new coded pathways and neural algorithms that synchronise the intricate interconnected movements of any linked drones.

Italian producer Matteo Rivetto may be a new addition to the Stil vor Talent roaster, you could still pretty much swear he's been with us a lifetime. Inspired by the pain experienced in a relationship, 'Pulling It Together' was initially an acoustic song in collaboration with vocalist Mani Obeya, which Rivatto re-edited into an electronic club track. "Processing my personal experience and using the music as a form of catharsis", Rivatto's goal was to "capture the raw emotions in a way that is relatable and meaningful to the audience", and he did pretty well judging by the anthemic impact of 'Pulling It Together'. Showing a superb tension throughout, the song seems to scan the full spectrum of emotions - alienation, anger, regret, sorrow, and ultimately that rage to move forward, translating them into sine waves that speak directly to your soul. No wonder our chief vibe merchant Oliver Koletzki picked it as the ideal backbone to an even more tense, warehouse-sized revamp, fleshing it out with extra club-ready muscle and adaptative horsepower where needed whilst retaining that vital heartbroken charm and sense of airy brittleness that make Rivatto's breakup tune the stunning bit of teary-eyed, regenerative dance floor music it is.

For this premiere we check out a Swiss artist calling himself 'Midnight Menace' (@rolfee99djhallal) for his first self-released EP.

This Senegal-based producer is only 19 years of age yet is hitting the ground running with this first official EP release. His Soundcloud account highlights that he is flexible in his productions, making EBM, Techno, Drum & Bass and more. Though for this release, Midnight Menace focuses his attention on Electro. 

The track selected to premiere is the second track called 'Freaky' on the 3-track EP. The track is a very straight-forward structure with rushing hi-hats, pad stabs and bassline that moves with the bass drum. This release will come available on May 15th. You can pre-order now on bandcamp.

Vintage & Morelli's "Hymn To The Night" artist album arrived last year and proved to be an extraordinary career milestone for the Serbian phenom, as it spawned various globally supported singles and helped launch his first ever tour of the States. Canadian singer-songwriter Brandon Mignacca contributed enormously to the record, as two of the standout tunes on the record, "Love Is" and "Bloom," feature his honeyed vocals. It is our great privilege to present two new interpretations of these songs by celebrated label veterans Hexlogic and Kobana, both of whom offer deeper-leaning takes on the original compositions.

Vintage & Morelli x Brandon Mignacca - Bloom (Hexlogic Vocal Remix)

We welcome ona:v to the HD mix series for mix #055.

Polish-born, Edinburgh-based, ona:v began DJing while still in Poland, but started playing in Edinburgh clubs in 2019. Since then, she become part of the Sisu roster, secured two radio show residencies (on EH-FM as CiRCLE and Fnoob Techno Radio as ReView) and played in some of Edinburgh's best techno venues. She also founded an all-female electro/techno DJ collective EPiKA - their launch night, scheduled for the beginning of April, was cancelled in the face of the pandemic. Her DJ sets are characterised by high-energy electro tracks and nostalgic early 2000s rave anthems mixed with high-bpm techno.
