Seeing a giant Tamagotchi display at Comic Con made me feel nostalgic for the one I had as a kid. I wrote PETs as a reminder of my favorite childhood things. The name PET came from MegaMan Net Battle, the melodies use similar instruments found on Lo-fi versions of Pokémon soundtracks, and the artwork is drawn outside where I spent most of my time as a kid. Growing older, I value things from my childhood more and more. I hope listeners can remember their favorite childhood things as they listen.

With every morning there is opportunity to do more, to be more than who we were yesterday. Coffeezilla was inspired by the character Dean from The Iron Giant, who likes his coffee so strong he calls it Coffeezilla. He in the movie he says "You are who you choose to be". In writing this song I wanted to capture the opportunity that each morning brings and provide a mental space for listeners to focus on how they want to grow and who they want to become.

Diamond Dust was written to remind listeners to hold on to those we love for as long as we can. We never know when we may say goodbye or I love you for the last time to a parent, friend, or loved one. I hope listeners are inspired to love those in their life even more and cherish them more than diamonds.

Inspired by Childish Gambino's RedBone, I wanted to make a song that would help listeners start their day in a good mood. Breakfast and my morning playlist of Lo-fi music is one of the ways I start my day off well and I thought the combination of a Bread Box/BoomBox was a great way to illustrate that. As school starts back up I imagine stress levels will rise with the pressures of a new school year. I want Bread Box to be that morning peace for listeners before they dive into their chaotic day.

I started writing Less Traveled towards the end of 2023. I wanted to capture the feeling of what wonderful new experiences could happen in the new year. I often spiral into worst case scenarios when trying something new. I wanted this song to be a reminder that the path Less Traveled can be a great one! Sometimes taking the first step on the path is the hardest. Less Traveled is a reminder to seek greatness and not to avoid disappointment. There are no mistakes, only gifts.

After failing to write an outer space themed song, I wanted to write something that would bring peace to my frustrations. Starting over, I focused on instruments that were calming and reminded me of when time wasn't a concern. This brought me to the summers of growing up on my parents farm. Being in the sun, with little responsibilities, was the environment I wanted to capture. Countryside Slumber, can help your mind drift and become carry free. Let go of the stress and be in the moment to rest.

This song was written to focus on individual instruments but have the vibe of other instruments subtlety playing a larger part.

The song and a few others were written after it had been raining outside. It had started to rain on my walk home from the subway and I was able to channel some of the vibes from that rainy walk into this song.

I hope the listener feels relaxed and focused after listening to Night Recovery.
