A couple years back I was listening to the radio, on the way to work, when the Grascals came over the air singing 'Don't Tell Mama (I Was Drinking)'. I nearly drove right off the road, I was so mesmerized by this tune. Kim Williams, William Brock & Jerry Lassiter hit the nail on the head when they combined to write this country ballad. 

While other artists have recorded this number The Grascals did the best job in interpreting it with no small thanks to George Jones, who did the talking part of the song. I don't know if George was past his prime as a singer when he partook in that recording but when it comes to breaking hearts he sure hadn't lost his talent. His auditory welded this song into my soul.
