I  had an  "Illegal" Jerry Byrd  Frypan  that was made by Bobbe Seymour, in Nashville. He had gotten the Sho~Bud molds of the limited edition frying pan  lap steel guitar, and made a few copies, one of which I was given for working at his store, Steel Guitar Nashville.
I had put a guitar fretboard on it and played it using  standard right and left hand picking and the tapping technique.  
In San Francisco, I was hired by Novato Frank to play on this track, that John Cipollina (Quicksilver Messenger Service) had played on, . called "Searchin' Blues".  I auditioned my "laptop Tapper" and was given the OK to use it for the recording.
