I finished this mixtape / EP, whatever it is, a few months ago. It’s a combination of demos I was working on that I loved playing out at shows the last year or so. Some old, some new - it’s a mix of all of the genres and styles that I’m feeling at the moment. Maceo Plex is back on his own Ellum Audio with huge statement single ‘Nu World’.

Maceo Plex has fomented his own singular sound in the last few years. His unique brand of techno has always been melodic, adventurous, and epic - the sort of sounds that can unite the vast crowds he plays to all over the world. He has nurtured artists with similar mindsets on his label but now takes the reins himself and is in typically fine form.

The excellent ‘Nu World’ is a rousing single that will sweep anyone off their feet. The strident drums, the big vocal cries and the emotional synths all add up to a mesmerising, hands in the air anthem that will appeal to electronic music lovers across the board. Add in the rugged bass and smart synth effects and the results are truly irresistible.

This is another landmark track from the ever impressive Maceo Plex with all proceeds from this release going to ACLU to fight voter suppression.
