I'm still wondering how we led to this
narcissistic dream spot light that we miss
crying out at them trying to pull it in
let my head ascend into a phony sin

Pacifying

Inspired by the time I fucked up in summer school a long time ago.

Syntax Errors

If you get a quicksudden low frequency in your ears, that's not a knock at your door, it's just my stupid breath hitting my 20 dollar mic.

one vague memory of a shirtless man staggering with a bottle in his hand screaming something his subconscious blacked out 
now everybody at school is singling him out  

his mom's a barber with decades worth of tears and wrinkles and the weight of many lives held on her back
praying for the day the door would swing open revealing a man who's never there left to uninhibited decisions 

he wanders through the crowded halls staring at his phone pretending to text his non existent friends again. Hiding from judgment from rich kids with grudges and a blue haired chick he's in love with. Addicted to caffeine since her early teens. real as can be not caught up in the scene but he's so far from that he's from another planet and 3 jocks surround him can't stand him

walking on eggshells regrets bad dreams and what ifs fueled  by anxiety
you don't know what's below the surface

"you fucked with me you bullies for the last time you're just lucky you have something so unconditional" they laughed and pushed him and the cool kids and the cute girl watched them hit the ground
a vision flashed of his dad's fist and he let it all out

"fend for yourself, invest in your best interest" she says "and don't judge others solely on the intersecting fragments of our lives"
