In times of closed clubs and venues due to a virus that cripples the world it's music that can give us comfort. Thankfully Betatec takes on the challenge and manages to hit the nail on the head with his new EP.

The EP kicks off with a massive remix by Alex Connors & Hardy Heller who - as their German remix title implies - are taking no prisonors. From the first second onwards this track carries its listeners due to a rampant beat that leads up to a beautifully arranged melodic theme which creates a contrastive moment of relief before we get sucked back into an adventurous ride.

The second title 'Domo' takes up perfectly and establishes itself as an atmospheric beauty that runs unwaveringly towards a climax that is followed by a bone-dry drop.

But there's even more Techno inside this EP. 'Lush' is a dark monster that will float around in your auditory canal after just a few minutes of listening to that beast.

To round this versatile EP off Betatec added 'SLS', a groovy but nevertheless darkish piece of music, spiced up with organic percussions and a super smooth yet energized vibe.

In Zeiten geschlossener Clubs und abgesagter Veranstaltungen aufgrund einer weltumspannenden Virus-Epedemie ist es unteranderem die Musik, die uns Trost spendet. Dankenswerterweise hat sich Betatec der Herausforderung gestellt und mit seiner neuen EP erfolgreich den Nagel auf den Kopf getroffen.

Die EP beginnt mit einem kraftstrotzenden Remix von Alex Connors & Hardy Heller, die - wie der Titel des Remix' es bereits verrät - keine Gefangenen machen. Ab Sekunde 1 reißt der Track seine Zuhörer dank eines zügellosen Beats mit, bevor das ganze in ein wunderbar arrangiertes, melodiöses Thema mündet, das einen kontrastiven Moment zum kurzzeitigen Durchatmen schafft, bevor es munter weiter geht auf diesem abenteuerlichen Ritt.

Der zweite Tite 'Domo' knüpft perfekt an und entpuppt sich schon bald als eine atmosphärische Perle die unbekümmert gen Höhepunkt zureitet und sich dann in einen furztrockenen Drop entlädt, der es nur so in sich hat.

Aber da geht noch mehr Techno! 'Lush' ist ein düsteres Monster, das nach nur wenigen Minuten unaufhörlich durch eure Gehörgänge spuken wird.

Um diese abwechslungsreiche EP gekonnt abzurunden hat Betatec noch einen weiteren Track namens 'SLS' draufgepackt. Ein groovendes und zeitgleich düsteres Stück Musik, abgeschmeckt mit organischen Perkussionselementen und einem super geschmeidigen jedoch nicht minder energiegeladenen Vibe.

Eine vor Energie, Emotionen und Abwechslung nur so strotzende EP. Unbedingt selbst reinziehen!

This compilation marks the re-relaunch of our label. With “A Rock, A River, A Tree” you’ll get kind of an overview what our residents are up to.

Like at our events we not just focus on one style but try to be open minded genre wise. 

While the legendary „Robert Babicz“ delivers a driving emotional progressive  house remix of „Hardy Heller’s & Alex Connors“ track „Ever Growing“ our Ohral Resident „Marc DePulse“ comes up with a cool track which we would describe as a beautiful electronica track.

Our Norwegian friend „DJ Akipa“ got remixed by „Chris Cargo“ from Belfast. A producer, dj , artist who is very well known and gets regular support from artists like „Nick Warren“, „Hernan Cattaneo“, „Sasha“, „John Digweed“, „Dave Seaman“ and so on.

Our Ohral Resident “TdK” did also his first steps in the studio – his first production to date is called “E1ns” and an up to date melodic house monster. “Sven Kegel” met these “Girls of Ipanema” at the beach. The result is “Beach Dancer” – a house track which will surely give you a smile on your face. “AC Fuser”, which is a project by “Alex Connors & SundB”  are taking the housy vibe with their tune “Houze Kids” to a different level. “Arpatec”, the techno project of our two beauties “Maxie König” and “Alex Connors” add a stomping techno track to this “Ohral Showreel”. Same does our “Dominik Heid” with “Heat”.

Last but not least you’ll find a „Broken Beats – Version“ of the track „Caramoan“ by „Maxie König“, who just did a remix for „Tim Engelhardt“ on „Poker Flat“… which just got support by non other than John Digweed… whoohooo !

"Maxie Koenig" is the grande dame of "Ohral" who created with her first releases already quiet a buzz. Her EP "News Of Radio Brest", released on "Plastic City Suburbia" achieved some fine chart reaction, for example #7 beatport deep house charts. as well as it got played by some very well known Djs like "Tony McGuiness", head of "Anjuna" and one part of "Above & Beyond". The remix she did for "Tim Engelhardt - First Contact" on highly respected "Poker Flat" imprint caused even more damage. Chart reactions also here and plays by for example living legend "John Digweed".

Now her first release on "Ohral Recordings". The "Riptide" EP on which she shows for the first time her wide musical range. While "Mermaid" is a a more relaxed, vibrant deep house track "Riptide" has a much more danceable approach and will put you immediately in a dancing mood. With "Destination" she shares with you her passion for real techno music and last but not least will leave you in peace with this downbeat beauty called "Caramoan".
