Krüger & Meyer and Sebastian Fleischer come together for the superb new Utility EP on BluFin, with remixes from Dapayk and Drumcomplex.

The original version of Utility is a rave techno jam with rock solid drums, fizzing synths and plenty of mean room energy. The bass is powerful and the synths bring plenty of light. Utility (Dapayk Remix) then reworks the tune into something even more wonky and menacing, with clipped drums, dark vocals and turbo charged stabs. Utility (Drumcomplex Remix) then closes out with a more round and rubbery bassline pinging about the mix. It's a fat, chunky track that demands you move your body.

This is another essential offering from BluFin.

Once in a while, you hear music that just hits you in all the right places and feels like the perfect fit for your ears and your mind. 

This 4-tracker by Anna V. was one of those for me. 4 great individual pieces that together paint the perfect picture.

I have known Anna V. for years and can assure you she is an artist with great depth, talent, and passion. It shines through from her personality and into her music. To me, that is especially noticeable on this Noir Music release entitled “Aether”.

I hear all her emotions flowing through the soundscapes and although we are dealing with deep, dark techno pieces they all have a distinct sense of hope and light deeply integrated. 

For me, it was love at first listen and I am proud to release these tracks and welcome Anna V. to the Noir Music family.

Beenoise Attack Episode 488 With Anela

'The ever-reliable Kuukou Records continues with stern and burly intent with an onslaught of releases ready for dance-floors as they continue to open up across the beginning of 2022. Simina Grigoriu's label follows on Kuukou's last EP with a fresh with a single featuring 2 feisty remixes from I AM BAM and Southampton based artist Melody's Enemy.

It's evident from the very first kick drum that 'Instant Communication' slots effortlessly into the Kuukou catalogue; the title track drives a heaving kick under flashing 909 hats before the whole recording opens up into a dark and cinematic breakdown. Rasping low-end rips under strings and vocal snips, swelling with tension before sparking the floor back up with powerful effect.

Thundering & menacing from the very first kick drum, I AM BAM’s remix of ‚Instant Communication‘ takes the listener higher with pure, ruthless rave energy. The arps weave an infectious & hypnotic journey throughout the track blending seamlessly into the rhythm of the drums. Bam’s signature raw, energy shines through and delivers us a warehouse stomper destined to elevate any dancefloor instantly.
Melody's Enemy then concludes things with his take - a slightly more stripped version which relies on deft sound design, a consistent sense of pressure and filtered vocals which round off another sterling addition to a catalogue of music going from strength to strength.'

Things took off for Barbuto in 2015 after his first release on Octopus Recordings which attracted the attention of Enrico Sangiuliano who remixed his follow up EP, “Vanta Black”.
That same year Barbuto appeared in the paper edition of DJ Mag who came across a recording from Coda in Toronto Canada touting it as one of the best sets of the year.
Since signing with Octopus labels Tronic, Phobiq, OFF, Unity, Nervous, Le Club and Transmit amongst several other boutique labels have released Barbuto’s music. 2019 birthed Mavic Music, a techno label focusing on upcoming artists from his homeland Australia as well as already established producers from around the world such as The Filterheadz, David Dega, D.R.N.D.Y, I AM BAM, Charles D and Barbuto.
