Double himself needs little intro, having been repping the East London sound since the N.A.S.T.Y. Crew days, notching up more than a few hits from the golden age of grime onwards.

Whether you’ve been a fan from classic bars featured on DVD packages like Aim High back in grime’s chrysalis period, or more recent collaborative work with world famous producers such as Rustie, when the Newham General touches mic you know it’s game over.

‘Like This’ sees Double jump on one of the highlights from Formula’s f=BASS² compilation this year, as Killjoy’s ‘Turnt Ones VIP’ gets the vocal edit treatment to be converted into a heavy grime riddim for Double to do his thing. Bumping post-funky halfstep drums meet with pure party time disco horns and a heavy kick for the underbelly that does everything but knock over the system in a dance, laying the groundwork for Double to shower down on the beat as only he can.

Taking all pretenders to task, Double spits bars like no other, reminding the scene just how it is he’s never left the top flight, whilst warning newcomers of the skill set and work ethic it takes to be a king in the game, just ‘Like This’. Currently getting spins Mistajam, Logan Sama and the full Formula family, ‘Like This’ comes backed with new full instrumental from Formula badman Killjoy.
