V Classic was an appetiser. Today I officially have 5K followers, and so I have a duo* of Platinum Breakz mixes for you all. 

Was great to rediscover this one in its extended CD form. As a paid-up Headz fan I already owned half of the content when the LP dropped in 1996, and so mentally pigeonholed it more as 'the album with Unofficial Ghost on it' than anything else. Listening back and structuring this mix 25 years later, I've realised what an exceptionally well-balanced and atmospheric collection this is, with many lighter moments that contrast with the filthy exclusives such as Armoured D and The Nocturnal.

I recently found a whole bunch of mixes I did between 1992 and 1997 and started the long process of ripping the cassettes to mp3.
The sound quality isn’t great as they were all recorded through a mixer with no EQ and committed to cassette on a shabby home stereo…But what the hell, it’s that authentic 90s sound through and through.
