At the end of the year it is our tradition as reviewers that we bring you our best discoveries of the year past. I'm not going to break this pattern, and the last two weeks of this year will be used to bring back some of those tunes which just deserve to reach your eardrums.

After what can only be described as a phenomenal 2013, the Vudu Records head honchos are back with a BANG big enough to block out the noise from Sydney's firework bonanza for 2014.
My Digital Enemy are serving up a treat to kick off the New Year, it's a deep techy house tantalizer with a bassline so slamming it'll kick any of the January blues firmly to the curb. A follow up to their chart topping Toolroom release 'Wrong' that stuck like glue to the top spot for six weeks, 'Shamen' once again sets the bar higher for this producer duo.
With old skool vibes trickled through the track you'll find yourself instantly uplifted and gagging to hit the dancefloor, there's not a chance of anyone being left wanting when this pumps through the speakers.

10k! Many thanks to all of my friends, family & Vibe Street fans for helping me get to 10k fans on FB. Threw this collection of old songs together as a proper release. Moving forward & bringing it back to when this project first started coming together.

I found this track the week before Electric Forest - it was the first beat I had made under the name Vibe Street in the summer of 2013. I had it up on Soundcloud for a while but took it down, and didn't realize how much I liked it until I came across it two years later. I debuted it towards the end of my Tripolee set on Saturday of Forest and wanted to release it today as a free download. This is a thank all of my fans, friends and family for all of the love you give back to me on a daily basis. For years people have asked us “WTF Is Zoogma?” and we usually answer in the form of a performance. In many ways we couldn't describe what we were as easily as we could demonstrate what we were. N​ew Era,​our forthcoming four track EP, is our most concerted effort at answering that question with a recording. Our first two endeavors in the studio (R​ecreational Vehicles​and A​nthems 4 Androids)​yielded some of our favorite compositions and allowed us to begin to hone in on who we were and what we wanted our sound to be. With N​ew Era​I believe we created something, both conceptually and aurally, that indicates the direction we're heading without forgetting where we've been. Live instrumentation. Methodical production. The genre defying and hard­hitting union of analog and digital that we deliver with every performance. That is the direction we are headed, that is the purpose of this release: to usher in the N​ew Era of ZOOGMA.

Blunt Force is an Austin-based live electronic music group consisting of Brian Gustafson and Deniz Baykal. The duo brings a high-energy performance to the stage, combining live instruments and hard hitting bass. Their sets vary in both style and tempo, leaving no genre untouched.

Having played alongside artists such as Savoy, Break Science, Opiuo, Manic Focus, and The Floozies, Blunt Force has quickly risen as an up and coming live electronic music act. Just weeks after graduating college in the Winter of 2016, the duo packed their bags and headed off on their first tour, hitting 18 cities across the U.S. In the Fall of 2016, the pair landed themselves a spot on The Odyssey tour supporting All Good Records artist, Sunsquabi. Finally, in the Spring of 2017, the duo embarked on the Alone With You Tour with Bass Physics, hitting 15 Midwest cities and selling out a few massive venues, such as the famous Boulder Theater.

The duo has racked up multiple appearances at Euphoria Music Festival, Wakarusa, and many more. Blunt Force made their Alaska debut last summer at Euphoria Festival - Denali. With new music releases and impressive performances to look forward to, 2017 is already Blunt Force's biggest year yet.
