The concept of "The Road Back" is rooted in ‘The Hero's Journey’, the larger narrative woven throughout the release. The original is an ambient/electronica track using various layers and soundscapes.

My intention with the remix EP was to source three extremely talented artists I admire—three people with truly distinct identities. I wanted each to interpret the track however they wanted, with no guidelines or rules. The result is three extraordinary pieces that capture their individual aesthetics while impressively channeling the original's qualities.

This further motivates my label's objective: to be a platform for experimentation and expression, all while being a bit leftfield.

Hailing from Douglasdale, Johannesburg South Africa is Vanco, a diverse and multi-talented DJ/Producer versed in the genre of House music. Stepping onto the music scene in 2014 with a new vibe, Vanco incorporates African, Electronic,Techno and different music styles with a touch of Soul. 
 
Relishing in his passion for various art forms, Vanco transitioned as a pantsula/kwaito dancer to a musician and music producer. From the build-up of his career, he established connections with other producers and worked with artists including John Tejada, Boddhi Satva, Dj Mbuso, Roland Clark, Zephrin Saint, Stan Zeff, Kid X, Djeff, Dj Clock, Zano, Cuebur, Shota, Soulstar just to mention a few. 
 
Vanco received international acclaim in 2015, with the hit single “Regeneration”, reaching #1 on the top 100 Afro House charts; since then Vanco is always been in the Top 100 Best Afro House Djs/Producers on Traxsource. Vanco is currenly 38th best Afro house to date on Traxsource & he has released several tracks under international labels like Universal Music Group, Tribe Records, Afrocentric records, Offerings Recordings, Tambor Music, Melomania records, Uno Mas & Uncover Music. 
 
Lutho is a song released by Vanco under Afrocentric records in April 2018 ; remixed by John Tejada & it was one of the best afro house music tunes in 2018 on Traxsource.  
 
Vanco has shared stages with artist like Black Coffee, Da Capo, Themba, Pablo Fierro, Boddhi Satva, Euphonik, Dj Fresh, Cuebur, Dj Shimza, Dj Clock, Dj Mbuso, just to mention a few.  
 
He has also played at big spots and events in Dubai, Netherlands, Angola, Swaziland, Lesotho, Mozambique ,Johannesburg, Cape town, Durban, other cities in South Africa & countries across the globe. 
 
Vanco continues to build his brand, touring the world in Europe, Asia , Middle East, Africa and perfecting his craft, his work with thumping percussions, heavy baselines and sweet vocals, intertwining rhythmically, igniting audiences everywhere.

Born in Mafikeng, South Africa. Gumz is a DJ and producer on the rise. Showing an interest in music from an early age, Gumz began his journey as an artist teaching himself to play the guitar. 

However his journey as an electronic artist would not begin until he was introduced to the sounds of tribal house, drawing major inspiration from the likes of Culoe de song and Da Capo. It was from this introduction to electronic music that Gumz decided that he too wanted to create music like this. 

A self Taught producer and masters graduate in electrical engineering it's fair to say Gumz excels in all he does. 

Over the years Gumz has continued to refine his sound to what we hear today.  A combination of African Percussion, electronic synths and emotive vocals has seen Gumz's music picked up by major labels within the Genres of House, Afro House and Afro tech. Having released music with the likes of Aluku Records, offering Recordings, Get Physical and most recently MoBlack, Gumz has seen his music played by the likes of Black Coffee, Shimza, Floyd Lavine and Enoo Napa. 

2020 sees Gumz launch his own record label by the name of Gumz Muzic, with planned releases alongside the likes of Floyd Lavine & Cornelius, it is an exciting prospect for all those with a love of African electronic music.

Eugene Onyango, DJ , music producer & currently the artists and repertoire of East Africa's electronic music record label, Gondwana Ke. 
Lucky enough to have found his skill and developed a passion for music from a young age in his home town of Mombasa, EUGGY went on and ventured into the underground dance scene which led to meetings with paramount and predominant individuals in the field who paved his way to showcase at some of the most remarkable parties, having already debuted in cities like Johannesburg ( Iklwa Brothers music label showcase) & in Nairobi, at various night clubs and festivals. Through fusing different local compositions with electronic sounds around the global on his label’s catalog, he has given Gondwana Ke a unique identity from which he helps build a platform for East Africa’s electronic scene as the goal is to spread music from home. Today, EUGGY is based in the city of Nairobi playing a mixture of Afro, house, Deep House & Techno at different clubs and also holds a monthly residency with Gondwana Ke.
