Our 11th Radio Show falls on the same evening of our first sold old event of the year! That Disco Groove at Colours in Hoxton. We are all long overdue and good dance and will be joined by great guests Jay Lee (The Funkdown Show), My Mate Nick and Pete Maxey (The Disco Express).

Looking forward to todays show we see a Bandcamp Beat from Opolopo on GAMM, wax exclusive from Perro Bueno on their edits series and the label focus deservedly goes to Moment Cinetique with their unique style of jazzy house and dusty disco.

The exclusive guest mix this week is provided by T Sounds, an up and coming DJ, selector and producer from London who now resides in Liverpool. Tom has a number of upcoming releases on labels such as Ripe Pear, Mango Sounds and theBasement Discos. We are happy to announce that we will be premiering these records ahead of their release dates! T Sounds mix is full of energy and his track selection really shows his depth/versatility of selection and playstyle!

This weeks custard mixtape feature, having absolutely blown the roof off our Motorway Disco at the beginning of February, we’ve brought back T Sounds!

Hailing from the south of London and now residing in Liverpool, he has brought his groovy house sound to parties all over the North West and London. 

Over the last couple of years, T has released his own music with the likes of BasementDiscos, Miura, Houseum, Mango Sounds, Rare Wiri and plenty more

With the likes of Michael Gray and Doorly supporting his music and a recent number one in the Nu-Disco chart with his ‘Father EP’ on Rare Wiri and a string of other top 20 chart releases in the last year, 2022 is looking to be a big year for T with multiple singles and EP’s signed and ready to release.

His love and passion for the music is clear to see in his productions and it’s a pleasure to have him back on the series!

Good Custard Mixtape 049: T Sounds

A Chance To Dance returns with the first edition of February. We have been enjoying so much variety across the many shades of new deep house releases this month.

Starting soulfully, we enjoy some vocal goodness from Smthing smtime on the fantastic new Razor-N-Tape VA which accompanies other great records from 
Wajeed, KVRBVO & Black Chynese. Hitting with a more punchier & dubbier sound comes new ones from Melboure Drum Authority & Fouk.

Mallorca based ESUOH don't release that often, but when they do its always top notch. Hurlees Keep It Real EP displays that classic house sound the label is renowned for and we are here for it! Also included are double whammys from Demuja, a piano stabber from Saison and a little classic from John Billick.

Tune of the session for us though is handed to the new Ben Hauke release on Last Year At Marienbad with the EPs new teaser 'Watch Me Now'.

Joining us this week is a very good friend of ours. He's the first guest to appear across both of our radio shows having been on That Disco Groove back in 2021. Since then, T Sounds has refined his music into a wonderful blend of rolling and deep hypnotic grooves. He has poured the passion from his life experiences into a number of beautiful releases over the past few years. They have earned huge support, take Berry Picker for example, which is now on its approach to 200k listens having been premiered by house heavyweight Houseum. Over the past year he has released on TheBasement Discos, Rewind & Miura with chart support from Reece Johnson, Alex Moiss, Simplex Motive & Doorly. His guest mix is a great interpretation of deep house through his eyes, and with 23 (yes 23!) tracks in one hour, including some of his own productions, it creates plenty of ear raising moments! The approach to the world of clubs takes place during the years of stay in London which will guide the style with the typical sounds of house music. About 10 years ago, the great friendship and closeness with Andrea Cavani and Fabio Dall’Oglio (aka we.amps) opened the doors to the world of djing and collaboration in musical productions for him.

This led to him starting to DJ at 18 years old leading onto playing countless parties all over Liverpool and Guildford. This led to Tom starting to produce in recent years, where he has shown a natural ability to crafting and developing his modern take on Nu-Disco, Soul and Funk-infused House Music.
