Vindya is a Manchester-based interdisciplinary artist working as both a DJ and a composer. As a composer, Vinthya Perinpanathan researches ancient ritual music from her Tamil-Sinhalese roots in Sri Lanka, which heavily shapes her contemporary compositions.

As a DJ, she performs dark, soulful, and sound design-oriented techno. Her sets emphasize the parallels between techno and her ancestral music—repetition, percussion, and tension—underlining her overarching theme of unity and border transcendence.

This formula has taken her to dancefloors including FOLD, Tresor, and Radion. Vindya also incorporates hybrid elements like live violin and field recordings from Sri Lanka into her performances. She is scheduled to return to her country of heritage to perform in 2026.
