We can see without our eyes, despite what the educational system teaches us.

Drama doesn’t cure trauma, it just releases trauma.

 

How to dissipate grief?  Requires something physical to relieve pressure like stretching, yawning, or farting.  Be around a support chain.

 

What makes strong bones?

 

Listening is important to healing.  When the talking ends, the healing begins.  Need a body expression.

 

Talking is used to discommunicate.  Our words are the problem.  Need to hear the audible life stream instead.

 

We are in a crisis.  A big bubble.

When a woman wants to be pregnant, she often gets cancer.  She may get pets.

 

How to resist being mesmerized?  Yawn, stretch, meditate, use multiple sources to get antidotes to what is being said.  Find the flaw in the opponent’s thinking.  Do color cycling.

 

3-5 am is lung time, the time when the earth is most silent.  The time to key into enlightenment and get free.  Having coffee at 4 am to relieve asthma.

 

We live in “nowhere” - now here.  We create villains in movies so we can overcome them. 

 

Boredom is the one thing the brain can’t stand. 

 

Feeling vulnerable and needing protection.  We have a force field.  Some people are accident prone.  An accident is a very well planned event. 

 

Atom enumerates the meridians in the toes.

 

Dr. D’adamo’s blood typing is foolish nonsense and malarkey.  Many lectins are anti-cancer and can have benefits, but some can affect the gut. 

 

Blood types O and B do better with meat.  A is vegetarian type. 

 

Tryptophan is not something you supplement with.  Can be harmful.  Supplementing melatonin isn’t good.  Gives people SAD.  Doesn’t suck up serotonin like natural melatonin does.

Tawil previously joined us on the Ottoman History Podcast to talk about the life of Zeinab Ameen, a woman from late Ottoman Lebanon who set out for the United States with her family, only to become separated from them and endure a difficult, circuitous, and ultimately heartbreaking journey that illuminates what it meant from Arab migrants to navigate the many spaces of the mahjar. In this conversation with University of Virginia students, we go behind the scenes to examine how the category of "migrant" can be both problematic and productive in writing about past people. We explore the importance of speculative analysis, and we discuss how history writing functions as an act of recovery with value for our present.

Randa Tawil is an Assistant Professor of Women and Gender Studies at Texas Christian University and Faculty Affiliate in the Department of Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies. Her research interests include migration and mobility, histories of empire, and the production of racialized sexuality. Her current manuscript “Race in Transit: Mobilities Between Greater Syria and the United States” follows new mobilities of US empire and Syrian migration in the early 20th century, and examines mobility as the site of gendered and racial formations for Syrians on the move. Chris Gratien is Assistant Professor of History at University of Virginia, where he teaches classes on global environmental history and the Middle East. His first book, The Unsettled Plain: An Environmental History of the Late Ottoman Frontier, explores the social and environmental transformation of the Adana region of Southern Turkey during the 19th and 20th century.

Brittany White is a graduate student in the Department of History at the University of Virginia. Broadly, she is interested in the African Diaspora in former Ottoman territories.

Alexandra Leary, MD, PhD, is a medical oncologist specializing in gynecological cancers at Gustave Roussy Cancer Center in France. She is the CI for the RAINBO-RED trial and member of the TransPORTEC Consortium. She is current chair of the GCIG Phase II committee, gyne track chair for ESMO Asia, and past gyne track chair for ESMO.

There are concerns that junior healthcare professionals do not use decision support as they don’t see senior staff using it. There are concerns that seniors don't use clinical decision support as they worry about looking things up people in front of people. So a complex issue to discuss.
