Ever since I can remember, 93.3 in Albuquerque, New Mexico has been '93.3 KOB FM.' 

But on November 15, 2019, the station became '93.3 The Q.'

According to RadioInsight.com, "the move away from the KOB-FM branding and KKOB-FM call letters helps differentiate the station from sister News/Talk 770 KKOB, which has been putting much more emphasis on its 94.5 translator frequency."

I dug out some old tapes and found some digital files on hard drives, and put together this montage of KOB FM over the years, starting with 1992. As an avid jingle collector, the montage is very jingle heavy, but I threw in some liners and promos as well. 

And speaking of jingles, if you worked at station in the 1990's/2000's and may have copies of the JAM/TM jingles in the clear, please contact me!  I heard the jingles were either lost or destroyed. :(

Hypertension

In 2012, Eleni Linos, professor of dermatology at Stanford university, published a systematic review and meta-analysis of the link between non-melanoma cancer and sun-beds.

That bit of pretty standard research, and a particular rapid response to it, has kicked of years of work - and in this podcast I talk to Eleni and her colleagues Stanton Glantz, and Yogi Hendlin about what they’ve uncovered.

Adult attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder presenting with inattentiveness, impulsivity, and hyperactivity, persisting into adulthood.

It is characterised primarily by inner restlessness rather than hyperactivity; impatience; sensation seeking and excessive spending rather than impulsivity; inattention; and functional impairment with underachievement and disorganisation.

Marios Adamou, Consultant Psychiatrist, South West Yorkshire NHS Partnership Foundation Trust, University of Huddersfield gives us a clinical overview of the condition.

Osteoporosis

JNIS Editor-In-Chief Felipe C. Albuquerque discusses idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) and a new patient classification paradigm with Kyle Fargen (Neurological Surgery, Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, USA) and Michael Levitt (Neurological Surgery, University of Washington, Seattle, USA). Both authors recently wrote about the intersection between IIH and venous sinus stenosis, an increasingly hot topic within the neurointerventional community. In the podcast, the participants discuss this novel classification, venous sinus stenting, and issues pertaining to this diverse patient population.

Dr Mackenzie Herzog (@MackenzieHerzog) has a PhD in Sports Injury and Orthopaedic Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is currently a Lead Epidemiologist on the Injury Surveillance and Analytics team at IQVIA. She was part of a team assessing the risks of sustaining an ankle sprain whilst playing in the NBA across four seasons. In this podcast we explore the findings from the paper (published in AJSM), the need to collect robust data to inform injury prevention strategies, how data science and sports epidemiology is evolving and her insights on working with teams in the NBA and NFL.

Raynaud's phenomenon (RP) is characterised by vasospasm that causes digits to change colour to white (pallor) from lack of blood flow, usually brought on by cold temperatures. 

Affected areas subsequently turn blue due to de-oxygenation and/or red due to reperfusion. It can be a painful condition and can lead to complications.
