Because a 25-track album just isn’t enough…

To mark their 25th year as one of the most esteemed imprints in dance music, Hospital Records head deeper into 2021 with five more tracks on top of their groundbreaking selection of 25 brand new remixes, reworks, covers and VIPs of NHS classics, combining pinnacle Hospital figures and friends of the label for an all-encompassing celebration of drum & bass. ‘AFT25PARTY’ is an unmissable follow-up to the widely appraised ‘H25PITAL’ compilation released earlier this year, serving you with an extra dosage of fresh 174BPM sonics.

The long-awaited Caracal Project remix of Camo & Krooked’s ‘Set It Off’ featuring hip-hop legend Jeru The Damaja finally sees the light of day after being one of the most sought after drum & bass dubs of 2020. The France based producer’s futuristic sound design is a stark yet fitting contrast to the iconic flows of Jeru The Damaja where two sounds collide on this breathtaking remix.

Triple threat supergroup Kings Of The Rollers meet drum & bass titan S.P.Y once again but this time the tables are turned, with the trio remixing the old-school rave inspired ‘See Your Face Again’. Upping the tempo and injecting a sinister bassline, this remix is a force not to be reckoned with.

Lynx’s 2015 anthem ‘Clap Track’ gets a genre-bending spice up from Manchester’s very own Think Tonk. With the original being so large it landed a feature in the ‘Need For Speed’ game series, Think Tonk’s weighty interpretation sees pounding 808s, playful horns and bashment influences accumulate into an unstoppable stomper.

Stepping up for remix duties on Q-Project’s ‘Computer Love’ is Kessler. Hailing from Belfast but residing in Rotterdam, the dance music prodigy’s usual work can be found within the realms of garage and breaks. A frequent airwave sound supplier on the likes of Rinse FM, Beatport and Balamii, expect raw jungle choppage and a warped bassline sent from above.

Drum & bass heavyweight Villem is up next with a stunning rebuild of Peter Nice Trio’s ‘Harp Of Gold’, which was the first ever release on Hospital Records way back in 1996. Paying homage to the classic NHS loungecore style, Villem’s recreation of the track from the ground up features live harp re-recordings, beefed up drum breaks and silky smooth melodies.

Updating the creative spirit of his widely acclaimed 2019 album ‘Building Better Worlds’, London Elektricity revisits his most recent project to date with a specially crafted and hand-picked remix album - ‘Rebuilding Better Worlds’. Featuring an exciting array of artists covering the full drum & bass spectrum, London Elektricity’s latest body of work features remixes from the likes of Cliques, Think Tonk, Logistics, Hugh Hardie, Whiney, Winslow, Seba, Degs & MURIUKI, Mozey & more…

Kickstarting the album with a delicate, soul-drenched liquid drum & bass soother is Hugh Hardie with his remix of original album influencer ‘Build A Better World (feat. Emer Dineen)’. Delving deeper into London Elek’s unique style and Emer’s synesthesic vocals, Hugh crafts heart-wrenching piano melodies and gorgeous rolling breakbeats injecting his signature flavours into the track.

With no clear indication of their true identity, the latest mystery to sweep across the world of drum & bass CLIQUES step up for an addictively feel-good remix of ‘The Prescription Is Love’. With a handful of releases on their own ‘Cliques Collective Audio’, the faceless artist(s) have already taken the scene by storm and their latest remix proves exactly why. Featuring a full live band, expect elevating brass outbursts, Philadelphia strings and blissful vocals.

Quickly gaining a reputation as one of the funniest characters within drum & bass, don’t be fooled by Mozey’s wit and charm. With a fast-growing catalogue of releases spanning labels including Souped Up, Liquid V, Bingo Bass, Serial Killaz and Hospital Records, Mozey’s bass-heavy remix of ‘Funkopolis’ draws upon the playful nature of the original whilst rolling it out into a fizzling drum & bass bouncer.

Legendary in-patient Logistics is on remix duties for ‘Never Trust A Hippy’. Incorporating the melodies and soundscapes from the original, Logistics soon flips the track on its head, turning it into a new-wave liquid funk anthem.

With further contributions from the likes of Think Tonk, Justin Hawkes, Lilac, Digital Native, Villem, Polaris, and a VIP from London Elektricity himself, the carefully curated tracklist brings together a cross-generational and multi-styled selection of artists from across the drum & bass community.

With the original album receiving support from the likes of Mixmag, Magnetic Mag and UKF, as well as being recorded in the immersive Dolby Atmos audio format, London Elektricity shows no signs of slowing down with his latest project. The longevity of his career can be owed to him being the mastermind behind classic Hospital albums including ‘Pull The Plug’, ‘Syncopated City’, ‘Are We There Yet?’ and ‘Yikes!’ (more recently revisited, remastered and repackaged this year as ‘Crikey!’) and London Elektricity continues to push the boundaries of drum & bass with over a quarter-century in the game.

North Base have collaborated once again with Chords for an epic, vibrant slammer, although it’s this time through imprint Viper Recordings. Featuring the stepping bass rhythms of Chords, and the driving energy which has become a characteristic of North Base’s, ‘Paradigm’ is your entree, with Ewan Sim also lending his vocals into the mix to create the perfect single to draw festival season to a close.

North Base have made their presence felt both within their hometown of Manchester, as well as further afield, meanwhile London based Chords has been a resounding figure underneath the RAM Records stamp. Likewise, the renowned Russian Dima Pulsar is just as identifiable, and with North Base presents the jumping bassline and resounding horns of ‘Jagged Edge’. Together they merge their eclectic styles and present their first selection together with Viper Recordings, a label which has spent eighteen years in the game, held strong by figurehead Futurebound.
