“The Dead Childrens of Jingle Bells” is a piece dedicated to the memory of the approximately seventy thousand children who lost their lives in Gaza.
The composition, 05:45 in length, unfolds as a sonic requiem: electronic textures, distorted guitars, suspended harmonies, and fragile acoustic traces that evoke absence, silence, and interrupted lives.

Only twice, and for just a few measures, the melody of Jingle Bells briefly appears.
This delicate, almost whispered quotation creates a stark contrast between the festive imagery of our traditions and the horror of the massacre. It is an emotional rupture — a reminder of how the world can keep celebrating while childhood is erased elsewhere.

This piece is not meant to be political; it is meant to be human.
An invitation to listen, to pause, to remember.
To never grow accustomed.

Terra Nine - performing the opening live set at AUM Eclectic Garden - Deep Forest & Gaudi show, Auckland New Zealand.  An enchanting journey through Terra Nine's live garden of sound ~ featuring many brand new  tunes from the forthcoming EP - Laniakea, out soon on Iboga Records in January 2018! This set also features tracks from the January 2017 Iboga EP release: 'Heart of the Matter' as well as the 'Hadra Trance Festival 2017 double VA and the latest Iboga ambient VA: 'Relaxing Vortex 002' which just came out in December 2017.

Terra Nine, aka Michael Westcot, is the creative force behind this unique act from New Zealand, combining live electric viola with lush organic synths and funky electronic beats to produce a distinctly organic and free form sound. His music features an aural palette ranging from psychedelic ambient to chilled out trance and breaks with uplifting emotional content that moves the heart as well as the feet.

Michael is hardly your typical digital artist - his music features a unique synergy of distinctly analog bowed and plucked organic strings - often mangled into mind bending psychedelic sounds and poured in real time over a bottom end of organic beats and fat basslines.

Terra Nine's live shows are accompanied by visual artist extraordinaire - VJ Intelliki, whose images form the perfect counterpoint to the Terra Nine audio magic. Enjoy :)
