Hope And Happiness

Bo is a longtime musician and singer songwriter who started out taking piano lessons but found out at the age of ten that he liked playing the guitar . His first bands were called the "Red Devils" and "The Lost Souls" in Montecito, California when he was 14 years old.

Overtime he has developed his own style of playing with early Calypso influences from Harry Belefonte and Folk influences from Bob Dylan. Later music influences included motown artists, and blues greats like B.B. King, Howlin Wolf, and guitarists Michael Bloomfield, and Eric Clapton. Today he listens to singers like Delbert McClinton, Steve Tyrell, and other R&b artists. 

His songwriting has settled into the vein of Americana that is an amalgamation of all the music he has listened to along the way. He has a signicant catalogue of songs, although some of his early works he says "were not worth remembering" because "they were just bad songs."

He has written songs that other local artists have "covered," done studio sessions on other artists records, performed his songs in many different bands and on the "road."

Memorable experiences include opening for the band "Poco" with a five piece ensemble called "The Truant Angels", where 3 of his compositions were played during the concert. Bo has no national name recognition but is locally fairly well known as a quality musician and singer/songwriter. He is also known for his collaborative efforts with other songwriters and musicians from the Central Coast of California. He co-produced his first self titled album that was never formerly released and has since recorded and co-produced near 3 more albums containing his songs.

He is currently working on finishing his latest album effort entitled "Blue Lightning," which he intends to release overtime on his "digital road tour." He also intends to release back catalogue music along the way. Asked why he still plays and sings his music, he says, "be careful what you do with your music because if you like what you are doing, once you start you can't stop." "So slip some silver in the slot and play this song again."

Bo currently resides in Hawaii with his wife.
