True Love

While touring the southwestern United States in the mid 90s, I saw this little old country church in New Mexico that gave me an epiphany. It appeared as though it was not very well maintained despite the fact that it was nestled in a small community of houses that were maintained quite nicely. It suddenly occurred to me that I had been doing the same thing to the "church" that exists inside my spirit. I was neglecting to maintain my relationship with God. I came to the conclusion that, If you don't keep your spirit, ("church"), clean and well maintained, then no matter how you appear on the outside, ("the community"), the neglect will eventually show through and the rot and decay of this mortal world is what others will see.
