MÖWE is a recently founded project by the Vienna based artists Mel and Clemens, who previously played together in the band Mary lost her Pathos. While the duo’s indie roots still shine through in the song writing, MÖWE’s sound is largely electronic and best described as melodious and emotionally uplifting. Here, on SVT119, they present two of their outstanding productions, while Björn Störig contributes a beefy remix. 	

The title track ‘Inside’ focuses on harmonic piano and guitar hooks that float over a bouncing beat and crisp percussion. As the duo’s heartbreakingly beautiful vocals climax in a bass-driven chorus, we find ourselves lost in a sea of bewitching sound. ‘Seven Days’ is then introduced by delayed vox and drops into an airy arrangement backed-up by Mel and Clem’s longing voices. Stunning! Lastly, SVT mainstay Björn Störig gives ‘Seven Days’ the dance floor treatment by pitching down the original’s vocals and laying them over an elastic deep house bassline.

The first release of the new year has to be a special one, with 2014 being no exception. After strong EPs on Light my Fire and various remixes, Dan Caster presents an absolute treat on Stil vor Talent, his ‘Bleeding’ EP. 	

The title track kicks things off: here, Benjamin Franklin’s soulful voice carries us through a sea of dub chords, which slowly build into an emotionally charged climax. Kyodai’s remix then offers itself as an ode to classic deep house, as one encounters warming piano keys and saxophone sounds in perfect harmony with the original’s vocals. For ‘Nouvelle Future’ Dan enlists Björn Störig. It’s instantly obvious that the pair is a good match; their organic sunset-house is made for those epic dance-floor moments. Aided by a driving groove, Oliver Schories then accentuates the guitar and vocal elements of the original to great effect. Next up, Dan delivers an outright party-starter in the form of ‘Freaky, Noisy’, which, lastly, KANT reworks with a nod to electro for good measure.

Perfectly fitting for the first sunlight they bring you what could well be one of this summers' hits. 'Leaving Train' is an easy, light and carefree tune, topped with the wonderful voice of Loumar, singing about leaving it all behind. The track is a bass heavy and playful tune, that is not only for club purposes. 
 
And to top that off we bring you three completely different remixes, which guarantee to cover a lot of different tastes in house music. The remix by Bachstelze and Fusion resident 'Madmotormiquel & Sascha Cawa', which is undeniably intended for the floor, is sure to shake up some clubs and festivals this summer. Next comes the elaborate take from UK trio Panda. They take the track to new heights by adding a great piano riff and creating the overall feel of a classic yet, modern house track. And you can´t help to sense a little "bossa nova". Last but not least you get a remix by Label head HRRSN. He keeps it rather funky and straight forward with his remix. Austrians Fellier Florian and Felix Brunhuber, better known as Wild Culture, have fast become two of Kittball’s most prized producers. Their arrival to the German imprint came in late 2012 with ‘For Everything’ making a prominent dent in Beatport’s Deep House chart, an immediate success which saw the duo return to the label to release a three-track EP titled ‘Faith’ featuring singer-songwriter Josh Savage as well as Kittball’s leading lady Juliet Sikora. Now as a tribute to the duo’s work Kittball present a remix package with a host of skilled producers remodelling three of the Austrian most sublime tracks. 

First off Nico Pusch takes ‘Faith’ into subterranean depths, stripping back it’s off beat percussion and replacing it with thudding four-four and waves of esoteric synths. Purple Disco Machine then deliver a renovation of ‘In You’, warping the original from its gentle and melodic vibe into one riding on a heady groove and bouncy bassline embracing a far darker tone. Lastly Wild Culture’s inaugural hit ‘For Everything’ receives a complete overhaul, whereas the original was joyous and upbeat David Jach’s remix manipulates it into a monstrous bass-driven jam with its playful vocal samples now heavily chopped and distorted to an ethereal result.
