While trying to record Great Grey Owls with a droprig recording a moose came very close by (as seen from the droppings the day after). Good thing it didn't browse my microphones...

ASMR - moose grazing in a wet clearcut area

 A marsh warbler had established its territory in my garden. I set up microphone and recorder near its regular singing spot and left it recording overnight. Around 2 AM a pair of tawny owls showed up and one of them started calling in the oak tree right next to the recorder. Corn crake and thrush nightingale are also calling and singing in background. 16.06.2025, Peebu village, South Estonia.

Early morning surprise quartet

An experiment to blend the beautiful field recordings of Bo Söderström, from the Boreal Forest in Sweden, with ambient piano from Martin Dean in the UK.  The track uses part of Bo's dawn chorus recording and the piano calls and responds to the cuckoos as they awake.
