BOA REYES, born Isaac, is a hip-hop/rap musician from Bakersfield, California—a city where talent and determination come together. Raised in a low-income neighborhood on the southeast side of the city, BOA’s journey to success has been shaped by the struggles of his early life. At 13, he and his family moved to a more affluent part of Bakersfield, marking a turning point in his perspective. With his Hispanic and European roots influencing his sound, BOA has always stayed true to his culture and experiences, merging them into his music with authenticity and passion.

Early Days and Breakthrough: 2018-2019
BOA REYES first burst onto the scene in 2018 with his song "Love Me?", a track that quickly amassed 175K streams on SoundCloud and set the stage for his rise. At just 16 years old, he was already standing out as an artist who could produce music that resonated deeply with his audience. In 2019, he had an incredible run, releasing three mixtapes—two of which surpassed 30K streams, while his third hit 15K streams. The young artist’s ability to produce high-quality work from his bedroom in Bakersfield earned him a place as one of the most promising voices in his city.

Rivalries and Reign: 2018-2021
As BOA’s popularity grew, so did his competitive spirit. While many of his peers, including a well-known rival rap group, tried to claim his spot, none could match his consistent output or the numbers he was pulling in. From 2018 to 2021, BOA was the man, the myth, and the legend at Liberty High School and in Bakersfield. His music dominated the local scene, and his streams outpaced every other artist in town. Realities of Life and the Return to the Studio: 2022-2023
By 2022, at 18 years old, BOA faced the realities of adulthood. With no label deal and no way to live solely off his music, he took on a job. While he was making more money than ever before, the toll of balancing work and music left him feeling drained. Still, the newfound financial confidence reignited his passion for creating. In 2022, he released a remix of "High in the Booth", featuring rapper Brickay, but the song struggled to gain traction, collecting fewer than 1K streams. This made BOA question whether his time in the spotlight was over.

By 2023, BOA's doubts deepened when his next release failed to even reach 500 streams. However, rather than letting it discourage him, he took a hard look at his situation with clarity. Determined to reclaim his place, he returned to the studio and began working on a new mixtape, which is set to release in Spring 2025. This time, BOA is bringing a new marketing strategy to the table, promising a more calculated and impactful approach to his music’s release.
