This piece is both a mirror and a megaphone.
A reflection of what we’ve built, and a reminder of what we’ve forgotten.

It began as a simple observation how easily we keep moving forward while the world quietly falls apart. We build skyscrapers that reach nowhere, launch rockets to emptiness, and call it progress. We construct ballrooms for kings while children go hungry, and then we “turn the page,” pretending it’s not our concern.

But beneath that illusion, a deeper truth hums one Bill Hicks once shouted through the noise: “It’s just a ride.”
That idea cuts through time like lightning. It reminds us that reality is temporary, and change is always possible. We don’t have to live in fear, or chase false crowns. We can slow the spin. We can fix what’s broken. We can choose love over fear, unity over division, compassion over greed.

“It’s Just a Ride” is a cinematic spoken word piece for anyone who’s ever looked around and thought, this can’t be all there is.
Because it isn’t.

We built the ride.
We can change the ride.
All it takes… is the choice
