The Hard Times Kapelye is a Manchester-based, six-piece band playing klezmer and klezmer-inspired music.

Both Hard Times Kapelye and its parent - The Hard Times Orkestar - involve friends, neighbours and colleagues dusting off their underused instruments to enjoy playing music together. 

Current set lists include traditional numbers (such as Dem Trisker Rebn's Khosidl, Freylekhs Nokh de Khupe, Mekhutonim Tsum Tish), Balkan-tinged numbers (such as Time) and fresh compositions (Der Andere Zaytik, Reubenstein the Magnificent).
