Written as a class exercise for the Coursera Songwriting course...also written to express heartfelt thanks to my own rehab crew. I took this course at this time to make sure I had something fascinating to do while I convalesced from shoulder replacement surgery. Although I am progressing, playing my fretted instruments is still out of the question.  Even running a computer and MIDI controller has been difficult. But range of motion is increasing and all things are getting easier and easier. Taking this course has been quite an adventure!I Thank you for listening to my song.

Last Goodbye

Bob is a singer-songwriter and storyteller whose songs are influenced by old-time, Celtic, Cajun, Bluegrass and the blues. Starting in the late 1960s, he performed with such bluegrass and old-time bands as The Other Side of the Mountain Boys, the Pine Ridge Partners, Sure Fire, and the Bluegrass Travelers. His current show, Thursday Stew, features Bob singing his own compositions and traditional roots songs, backing himself up with guitar, mandolin, and open-back banjo, and telling stories.
