It was really cool to see people sing along to this at Smoking Jackets shows or at solo gigs. I haven't been doing this song lately but think maybe it's time to revisit it with the new lineup.  Natty Moss-Bond adds goosebumpy duet goodness as always, and Steve Dover chimes in with some high lonesome. This is called "Envious." as it was recorded with an HPEnvy and is my demo track that I will redo from time to time. I played and programmed everything. It's smoooth and it's fonky.

I cheekily call this track "The Franchise," as it always gets the best response, and if I get one chance to play one song, it would be this one. Newly remastered.

Book Of Tides- Bob Anthony

This track features the original Botomatics lineup of Bob Anthony (vocal, guitar, songwriter), Todd Easterman (bass, backing vocal) and Matt Grimshaw (drums, engineer), with an assist from John Haikara (organ, remix). Originally written in in 2002, was covered by a Seattle band featuring an ex-bandmate with a totally different melody but a kool version nonetheless, and I was honored that they did it.

I cut this in Room 6366 of a resort hotel in Orlando. Both guitar tracks are mine, done off the cuff, and to keep the "hotel room jam" feel I resisted the urge to edit out the 'clams.'

his is a rough cut of a track I did on 1/1/2020. As a bad dad joke about 2020 and as a wish for the new year, as well as its anthemic nature,I titled it Clarity. Recorded with Reason 10.4, Nektar Impact 88 and bunches of softsynth, most notably Korg MonoPoly.

I've been at it awhile, but still working on getting better at what I do. While I limed in Tallahassee I played with several bands, most notably Casual Ts and in Kenny Howes' band. I started recording and playing solo around 1990 and haven't stopped, and upon moving back to the Tampa Bay area have had the bands The Smoking Jackets, Silent Jones and, since, 2013, Botomatics. I'm working on a new instrumental album, my second, and some of the tracks are featured here along with some older ones. Thanks for stopping by!
