Most people like to play peak time, some people like to warm up, but I think the most underrated DJ maneuver is the dancefloor switch, when the party gets started in one area and moves to another. It's a very specific chess problem: everybody is 3 drinks deep, the floor will be full in less than 2 songs (if yr gud), but you're still starting to the emptiest dancefloor imaginable getting PTSD from your time on the Bar Mitzvah circuit.

Such was the case when Guy Gerber invited me to play Rumors in Ibiza this past summer. I took the stick and move approach. Stick em with one ambient joint and then move fast. I think I handled it pretty well, but you be the judge.

Best Mix: 1:29:00 - One of my most evil unreleased joints into the most evil Unknown to the Unknown release of all time. Total confusion.

Worst Mix: 59:22 - This one also features one of mine, a Kendrick edit I was having fun playing during the height of the beef. Maybe I'm being hard on myself since I should have known better, but I think the moment you realize two songs are out of key you should urgently fade out the first one. And yet I had to keep riding the mix 🤦🏽‍♂️

A record collector, a reference in musical exploration and a refined technique when it comes to DJing, Gromma has been gaining notoriety since the first steps of his career, which began in 2006, and is now consolidated among the select group of DJs who enjoy vinyl. Influenced by hip-hop from the late 1990s, followed by house and techno in the early 2000s, he builds stories supported by in-depth research without pre-defined labels. Currently a resident of the Bioma party and D-EDGE (a group recognized for its curatorial excellence), he has 15 years of experience at Club Vibe, where he has performed warm-ups and closing sets for a wide range of artists including CRUZ, Traumer, Gene on Earth, Shonky, Magda, Margaret Dygas, Edward, among many others.

Having performed at events dedicated to alternative sounds and also at those with broader stylistic proposals, either as a main attraction or supporting renowned names, he has toured several Brazilian states and has several international tours, appearing at important clubs and festivals in South America and Europe; with highlights such as Surreal, TribalTech, Neopop, Lisb-on, as well as Boiler Room and parties at Amsterdam Dance Event and OffWeek Barcelona. In 2021, he began a new phase by co-founding Bioma, a label that is revolutionizing the Curitiba scene. With D.Agency in bookings and Iris in management, he continues to seek ever longer flights.
