Okain continues his impressive run of recent form here into 2018 courtesy of his latest release for Fuse’s sub-label, Infuse. Featuring three cuts that wonderfully showcase the French’s producer’s knack for canny rhythm and grooves, the Magic Box EP - much like it title alludes to - is full of glorious surprises throughout. 
Opening up the release is the sounds of ‘Place des Fetes’. A deep and hypnotic cut that’s perfectly suited to Fuse’s London parties, it’s the sort of trippy, moody jam that’s sure to go down a treat with the likes of Enzo Siragusa and Archie Hamilton among others. A dubby track full of expert flavours, it gets us underway with considerable panache. 
The title track kicks off the B side. More rough and ready than what’s arrived before, it too delves toward deep pastures, taking the listener on a journey that’s full of intoxicating vibes throughout. A hazy, sometimes dreamy weapon that’s not lacking in melancholy, it’s an enticing cut of different moods - and one that’s sure to earn a rave response whenever it’s played. 
As is his forte, Fuse regular Rich NxT then delivers with aplomb on his remix of ‘Magic Box’. For his remix, NxT proves a deft hand once more at delivering a subtle but beguiling remix. Full of intricate layers, a bumping baseline and whimsical sounds aplenty, it caps off an excellence release with some renown. A fitting way with which to kick off the new year, Infuse’s latest is proof once more of the label’s continued - and much deserved - ascendency within electronic music.

Rich NxT - Started Again Ep

London based FUSE Resident Rich NxT is up for the fourth release on Tamango Records with "Started Again", a four-tracker killer EP straight from one of the hottest name into the European circuit, which includes a remix by label boss himself Yaya. Last year was a big one for Fuse regular NxT who recently has also launched his own imprint called "NxT Records" launched in 2016. His debut on Tamango is the evidence of his mastery on making raw and crispy beats infused with the mid-2000's London's rave touch.  The EP kicks off with "Started Again" where heavy stomping kicks, distorted claps and punchy rimshots are glued together by squeezing shots and a low and subtle melodic loop. This one is a true NxT trademark tool with a serious rough feel over it's almost-seven minutes ride.
A2 is about captain Yaya. After setting the label standard with the first 3 releases on his own Tamango, he strikes back on the remix duties. His version of 'Started Again' is a tribal percussion affair filled with mysterious filtered vocal shots and rolling drums. The pressing and rhythmic shakers create the right balance into the groove and led to vague synths and pad to move all over the track. On the Flipside, 'Ashame' is the real deal on the EP. It's a direct and powerful tune with a super raw and rampant bassline where basement club vibes are at their best. Here Rich goes hard and direct with a peaktime roller full of electro-styled fuzzy synths, jumbled percussion, slapping pitched snares and freaky vocals to create a true dancefloor anthem, perfect to set the crowd on fire during the cold winter season. Last track is 'Despect', a different tech house tool with an 'up&down' bubbling analog bass, breakbeat loop and infectious beats surrounded by strange and metallic background sounds and shots.

For the first release of 2019, Salty Nuts label head Fabe is dropping his very first LP on vinyl.

The Berlin born, Mannheim raised DJ has roots in hip-hop and soon got into dance music with key releases on labels like FUSE and La Peña. He also plays around the world, and has been resident at Mannheim’s Parker Lewis nightclub, but here steps up his game with a fantastic new album. 

The eight-tracker shows club compatibility in every song but it’s also made for listening and shows a wide range of musical input without losing Fabe’s signature loopy groove. Says the artist “It’s about personality. I wanna show people who I am without talking to them. People should know a very personal side of me after listening to this album." With Fabe's own vocals featuring as well, this LP really shows off his prowess in the studio.

Things kick off with the deep house of the title track then move on through slick tech with warm chords and vocals cuts, classic New York swingers and plenty in between, making it an essential record for DJs and dancers alike.
