For the second segment of our Modern Funk week, we head to Sweden, where an individual by the name of Lowmac has been quietly honing his craft which stems from his love for G-funk music during his early formative years. But It was very much later that he started making music, and In 2011, he bought himself a Micro Korg alongside a bunch of other equipment.

He has never looked back since and as an artist, he straddles comfortably between different shades of funk - you can hear a boogie-laced tune sitting next to a g-funk inspired number. 

The approach is highly consistent, as Lowmac employs a palette of killer basslines, floaty synths and a dreamy vibe in his compositions, inviting you to join him for that cosmic flight.
