This is my first night time set in the carpa (tent) at Glitterman 2023. The excitement and energy from that night is absolutely unforgettable. Seeing and playing for the beautiful souls that gathered that weekend - it's what I live for as a DJ.

It was Friday evening and it had already been raining for hours. The mud had arrived and we were knee deep in it. But it didn't stop our asses from dancing ✊😎. No Mud, NO LOTUS!!!! 💩🪷

Warning that the audio here is pretty rough. Something went wrong with the REC out on the mixer during the set because when I listened to the output in headphones it sounded fine.

We have a secondary backup recording that hopefully sounds fine, but I won't have access to that for some time. In the meantime I couldn't resist but post this so y'all could relive this moment sooner than later. 

Also super happy that I got to play my own produced track during this set. KICK DRUM by Bobby Lyte (the second track) has been out for a while, but I finally got to play it live on the playa this year 🙌🏽.

Fresh off a sunrise party at The Fluffy Cloud, I hovered above playa with my minty feral littermates still buzzing from the most epic night, sunrise, and morning.. we hit MAX SCORE on this day.

No sleep. Just vibes. We rode the day like a wave, fur still on, snow goggles strapped, the energy electric, and the temperature perfect. From the dust straight into my 1 pm opener at DeMentha, right after a _____ workshop at I Love Elephants camp.

UNTOUCHABLE.

This set was something special. Something born from a shared experience with a spoonful of trauma. Three nights of pent up energy from Hurricane Larry meant throwing the plan out the window and letting you all guide me.

Together we found love, energy, and celebration.

The set may not have been recorded… but those moments were carved in stone in my heart and mind.

This one goes out to my family; the day ones, the ones I haven’t met yet, the Axolotl crew, and most of all the Minty Geniuses of DeMentha. 

Let’s run it back and soak in that moment one more time.

A very special set for me as I got to debut my original track "Chula". You can hear it half way through the set. I'm excited to release it soon, stay tuned for updates on my Instagram.

I'm feeling very inspired by Afro House, Techno and Indie Dance lately. Using the different genres to create emotional moments to lift people up and then bring them back down - into their body - with energetic, groovy and percussive sounds. A combination that's working well to create an uplifted and moving dance floor.

Recording of my closing set at DeMentha 2019 on Tuesday.

I really made it a point to not think too far ahead while playing this set. Staying present, in the moment, down to the four beats in front of me. It's a lot more fun this way. If I listened to these tracks separately, on their own, I would've felt the styles were too different. But being in the moment, the energy of each track felt right to me, so I went with it. What resulted was the most fun I've had playing a set. Enjoy :).
