Bobby NVA is a hip hop artist, not just the average rapper. The DMV native takes pride in putting on for his metropolitan. Born in Washington d.c., raised in Arlington Va. Bobby has always been into music, starting with the D.C. homegrown "GO-GO" music founded by Chuck Brown. He started rapping in 1995 just for fun. In 1997 Bobby  was sentenced to 15yrs in Va. state prison where he took the time to hone his rhyming skills. He was released in 2011 where he began to establish himself into the DMV hip hop scene. His sound is unique to himself reminding you of no one in the rap game. his style varies according to the song. His music is full of passion, wits, and story lines. You can not put this artist into a box. He writes about everything from the death of his mother and girlfriend, the love and hate of his city, the hardships striving for success, to his perspective of the DMV life. Bobby NVA's story is not that different from others coming from poverty, but the way he tells it definitely separates him from his peers.
