Thoughts of Youth

Come rest awhile and dream with me,
Beneath the outstretched arms of the Sycamore Tree,
In the center of town, not too far from the tracks.
Thinking of one that we used to know,
With a genuine smile and a happy glow,
But he’s gone now, and nothin’s gonna bring him back.


Easy and free, gentle and good
Sittin’ in your kitchen or walkin’ in the woods
Discovering joy every step of the way,
Breaths of wind and bright sunbeams
And raindrops rolling in the mountain streams
Repeat his name and will not fade away.

Bobby's Friends are Amity High School teachers and students who have joined together to honor the memory of our dear friend Bobby Weidig, whom we lost tragically on Christmas Day, 2015.  We hope our song helps all of Bobby's friends remember and channel Bobby's beautiful spirit and his love of music and all living things.
