CHEMICAL RADIOSHOW - EVERYTHING COUNTS - RETE 3 - EP4

his week’s episode is hosted by EVERYTHING COUNTS a duo that lives in Italian Switzerland composed by Toshka and Chris Leon. Their sound combines elegant progressive sounds with ethnic and melodic references.
Their partnership began with the debut album in 2018, “The Bedouin“, released on the German 3000Grad Records, a label launched in 2008 by Mollno.Bass, an EP that still has a good feedback.
In 2019 they released with Cosmic Awakenings the EP “Palenque“ with their Original Mix and the remix of well known Russian DJ Zuma Dionys, which had a great exploit, and the track “Amber“ with Diass’s interpretation.
Summer 2021 they released “Mbodiene“ on MoBlack Records, remix of Leo Guardo, Andile Mbili - Afraid on Wired label along being part of DJ Ravin’s compilation named after the famous Buddha Bar Club  - "Peace & Love & Summer”.
Another successful release for them, also on MoBlack Records, which reached 180 thousand listens on Spotify, is the remix of "Mona Ki Ngi Xica" by the famous Angolan singer Bonga. On vinyl, two remixed versions of the song have been released: theirs and that of Pablo Fierro, guru of the African world.
Meanwhile, there is also radio in their present: they collaborate with Pure Ibiza Radio with their Radio Show "Be with you", broadcast every Thursday from 5 pm to 6 pm.
And it is precisely the radio that is the protagonist of their important collaboration that began in July with Rete 3, the most important radio station of The Italian Swiss Radio and Television, launched in 1988. They are air every Saturday of the month with their Radio Show from 10 pm to 11 pm.
For Everything Counts, many future projects and collaborations in the process for 2021, as well as a great desire to return to bringing their music to clubs. Watch out for this duo, cause they are coming strong! Enjoy this Ethnic Tribal Latin journey with Everything Counts !

The final edition of our free download series for 2021 welcomes Kenan Savrun for his first appearance. The Turkish artist has compiled an impressive resume since arriving on the progressive scene in 2019. Releases on Droid9, Mango Alley, Movement Recordings and Soundteller Records sit prominently in his discography, while his near two-decade long career as a DJ has seen him share the decks with Alex Niggemann, Artbat, Cid Inc, Nick Warren and Oliver Huntemann. In addition to his official production work, Kenan sometimes revisits his favourite records from the past and works on new interpretations to use in his sets and to share with his elite level contemporaries. Most recently the Ankara resident has turned his attention to iio’s ‘Rapture’, a track which dominated clubland in the early 2000’s. The end result was a triptastic progressive groover that is currently making the rounds with electronic music’s premiere tastemakers. Now as we enter into the holiday season we’re happy to offer the track as an exclusive free download. Enjoy!

The latest edition of our free download series welcomes Hernan Cattaneo, Jamie Stevens and Anton Tumas for their first appearance. Needing little introduction and simply known as the maestro, Hernan Cattaneo is one of the world’s most beloved DJs and his Sudbeat Music imprint is widely regarded as one of the best in its field. With a career that spans over three decades, Hernan Cattaneo has recorded eleven albums, thirty singles and fifty remixes, all while touring the world delighting passionate music lovers with his impeccable taste and exquisite programming skills.

Meanwhile, Australian artist Jamie Stevens has achieved an amazing level of critical and commercial success over the course of his three-decade long career. As one of his country’s most talented and sought-after artists, Jamie has proven his skill in professional sound design, film scores and contemporary electronic music. Prolific and consistent in equal measure, Jamie has enjoyed a creative swell in recent years, landing releases via Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream, John Digweed’s Bedrock Records and Guy J’s Lost & Found.

The third member of the trio is American artist, DJ and promoter Anton Tumas. With a career that spans well over a decade, the Los Angeles resident has left an inevitable mark on the underground scene through his Subtract On The Pier residency and burgeoning Subtract Music imprint.

Last year the trio combined their extensive forces and took to reworking Pink Floyd's ‘Breathe (In the Air)’. Released in 1973 as part of the band’s iconic ‘The Darkside of the Moon’ album, the much lauded song remains as one of the group’s most revered and recognized creations. After several live airings by Hernan Cattaneo, perhaps most notably at BNP Open Life, the trio’s take on the iconic song has been shrouded in mystery, with fans hypothesizing who reworked the track in such grand fashion. Now, fifty years to the day after the original release of the song, we are pleased to offer Hernan Cattaneo, Jamie Stevens and Anton Tumas’ rendition as an exclusive free download. Enjoy.

The latest installment in our free download series welcomes Nick Warren and Nicolas Rada with their much requested take on Depeche Mode’s ‘The Things You Said’. As frequent studio partners since remixing Upercent’s ‘Pulsacions’ in 2017, Nick Warren and Nicolas Rada have become one of the progressive scene’s most beloved production teams. The duo have built a strong synergy over what has been a six-year creative swell, showcasing their original material on Nick’s The Soundgarden imprint, while also recording a string of impressive remixes for DAYS like NIGHTS, Get Physical, Proton Music and many more trendsetting imprints. Always looking for new avenues to test their creative chops, the duo took to re-imagining Depeche Mode’s ‘The Things You Said’ earlier this year. Released in 1987 as part of the band’s ‘Music for the Masses’, an album widely regarded to encompass the best styles from both ‘Black Celebration’ and ‘Violator’, ‘The Things You Said’ has stood the test of time and remains a high point on the seminal and much loved long-player. Nick Warren and Nicolas Rada have combined their extensive forces once again, knocking out a near nine-minute epic rendition which has not only been a staple in Nick’s recent sets, but also finds the duo landing more additive ever.
